Project Description: This project entails the purchase of a pre-engineered building to use as the Fleet Calibration Facility. It includes the purchase and installation of a dynamometer to calibrate Police sedans. Public Works will contract with an A&E Firm for all requirements; site-architectural-structural-mechanical and electrical. April 6, 2016 four qualifying Bids received with Sorensen Gross Co. as the low responsive Bidder for $351,000.00. Project approved by BOCS on May 10, 2016, Res. 16-3-I. Pre-Construction meeting held with Sorensen Gross Company and County Staff on June 16, 2016 with Notice To Proceed issued for 180 Days.

3. 3.Contractor has remaining items to complete: heat units, exhaust fans, vehicle exhaust fan, and pending final inspections. Public Works/ Purchasing may assess liquidated damages as of December 20, 2016. Sorensen Gross Company provided recovery schedule with substantial completion date of 2/6/17 and final completion on 3/3/2017. 8/12/2015 6/30/2016 3/3/2017    
4. Sorensen Gross achieved final approved County Occupancy for Project on March 30, 2017. Prince William County accessed liquidated damages incurred from December 20, 2016 through Substantial Completion date of March 30, 2017; $9,135.00. Contractor has submitted for review to SWSG, Design Engineer Close out Documents. 8/12/2015 6/30/2016 3/3/2017    
5. SWSG reviewed, approved and forwarded close out documents on June 16, 2017. Final payment processed on June 22, 2017 and posted 7/14/2017. Project complete. 8/12/2015 6/30/2016 7/15/2017
